Spring-cleaning isn’t just about working on your house or garden. It’s also a time to clean out all of the cold winter feelings. It’s a time of brightness, joy, and rebirth. Spring is the beginning of outdoor parties and daytime picnics. What can indicate a change of the season better than a change of spirits – liquor and spirits that is? Lincoln Road Package Store wants to help you find the perfect cocktails for your spring event, whether it’s a brunch, a picnic, or even a casual warm-weather gathering.

Some drinks are classics for a reason

Mimosas are a spring and summer tradition. They only take a couple of simple ingredients: orange juice, champagne, and you can opt-in Grand Marnier. Gather some champagne flutes. Fill your champagne flutes two-thirds of the way with orange juice. Then you just top off your glass with champagne and Grand Marnier. It’s a simple, delicious champagne to brighten your spring day.

Sometimes a simple champagne cocktail just isn’t enough. This Raspberry Lemon Lime Gingerbeer Cocktail is a great way to impress your guests. You’ll need Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer (Lemon and Lime), limoncello, champagne, lime juice, raspberries, and raspberry puree. Using a champagne glass, add .75 ounces of raspberry puree, 1.5 ounces of ginger beer, and limoncello. Stir, and then top it off with your champagne and lime juice. Add the raspberries as a garnish and voila! You have a party wooing cocktail that is vibrant and playful … perfect for the season change.

Maybe you’re just feeling reminiscent of fun springs you had as a child. With a Tequila Honeysuckle, you’ll taste those memories. Get out your shaker with some ice and pour in 2 ounces of Tequila, .75 ounces of honey, and .5 ounces of lime juice. Shake, strain into a coupe or saucer, and get ready to remember picking the ends of small white flowers to find a drop of the sweetest nectar your heart had ever tried.

While you have out that tequila, maybe try a less sweet but still fruity and refreshing drink called La Paloma. Begin this simple recipe by adding 2 ounces of tequila, mixed with a 1/2 ounce of lime juice, and a 1/2 ounces of grapefruit soda combined in a lowball glass filled with ice. Top off with grapefruit soda and enjoy a fresh taste of spring tequila.

Nothing says springtime freshness like a mint julep. Using a julep cup or a highball glass, muddle two sprigs of mint with simple syrup. Fill the cup 3/4 full with crushed ice. Add bourbon. Stir. Fill the remaining glass with crushed ice and a sprig of mint. This classic never goes out of style for a reason. It comes back every spring, just like your flowers.

After the last days of spring-cleaning, take a minute to enjoy the beauty of the season around you, and do it with a mojito. Get out your Tom Collins glass. Start by adding mint leaves and lime juice muddled with sugar. Grind the leaves into the sides of the glass. Fill your glass 2/3 of the way with ice. Then add rum, and top it off with club soda. Cleansing your palette of all the sweat you’ve worked up.
