Big Batch Drink Recipes for your Super Bowl Party

superbowl

Hattiesburg, MS

Now that you’ve packed up that elf on the shelf, it’s time to get ready for the next big event – the 2019 Super Bowl! You’re probably already betting on which NFL franchise is going to excel through the playoffs and stake their claim at this year’s Super Bowl. Will your team make the cut? Either way, a Super Bowl party is going to be had by many. Lincoln Road Package Store, a liquor store in Hattiesburg with all of your adult beverage needs, wants to provide you with some big batch drink recipes that are perfect for your Super Bowl party.

Chartreuse Punch

You can thank Martha Stewart for this “gin and juice” recipe (Snoop Dogg would be proud!). Chartreuse is a French liqueur, made by Monks, that supposedly contains over 100 herbs, which we are pretty sure makes it “healthy.” This recipe makes approximately 10 cups, enough for a crowd.

  • 2 cups of Chartreuse
  • ½ cups plus 2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed lime juice, strained and chilled
  • 1 bottle of seltzer
  • 2 cups of Gin, chilled
  • Simple syrup
  • Ice cubes

Stir together Chartreuse, gin, lime juice, and simple syrup in a punch bowl. Pour in seltzer just before serving. Ladle into ice-filled glasses, and garnish each with a lime slice.

Spiced Rum Punch

We are in the thick of the winter season during that odd time between Christmas break and the never-ending months before summer vacation, which is why this spiced rum punch is perfect this time of year. It’s got a spice flavor reminding us of the holidays that are behind us, paired with pineapple juice that gets our hearts longing for summer vacation. Thanks to Everyday Food, this recipe is enough for 10 servings.

  • 1 cup of water
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ½ cups of golden rum
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • 3 cups of pineapple juice
  • ¾ cup of lime juice (approximately 6 limes)

In a small pot, bring water, sugar, and 6 cinnamon sticks to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook 8 minutes. Let cool to room temperature; discard cinnamon. (Refrigerate in an airtight container, up to 1 month.) In a punch bowl, stir together cinnamon syrup, pineapple juice, rum, and lime juice. To serve, add ice and cinnamon sticks.

Winter Fruit Sangria

Of course, we didn’t forget about all of the wine lovers out there. This winter fruit sangria recipe, courtesy of the Martha Stewart Show is ideal for your guests who prefer wine instead of liquor based adult beverages.

  • 1 cup of Brandy
  • 1 orange, ends cut off, sliced
  • 2 bottles of dry red wine
  • ¾ cup of fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 cup of club soda

In a large pitcher, stir together brandy, sugar, and orange and apple slices. Let stand 15 minutes. Add wine, club soda, and orange juice. Serve over ice.
