For some people, sipping on cocktails while enjoying the company of good friends and family is the perfect idea of celebrating the holidays. For others, maybe your family and friends are the reason you drink. Whether your holiday drinking brings on holiday cheer or helps lighten the mood around your nagging in-laws, these big-batch cocktail recipes are enough for a crowd.

Bourbon-cranberry jingle juice
This holiday-inspired blend of bourbon, cider, and juice is perfect for any family gathering during the holidays. It takes only about five minutes to prepare and is enough for eight people.
Gather your ingredients:
- 16 ounces of cranberry juice
- 32 ounces of apple cider
- 12 ounces of bourbon
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
- 1-1/2 cups of fresh cranberries
- 2 sliced apples
- Ice
Using a large pitcher, mix the first three ingredients and stir. Next, add in cinnamon sticks, and fruit, stirring until well mixed. Pour over ice and enjoy! Use extra prepared fruit as a garnish.

Sparkling Pomegranate and Rosemary Spritzer
Rosemary may only seem useful when roasting a chicken or in Italian food, but it is amazing this time of year in cocktails. This recipe takes only about 10 minutes to prepare, and even has a little bubbly action in the mix. Recipe makes enough to serve eight guests.
Gather your ingredients:
- 2 cups mixed berry juice
- 1 cup pomegranate juice
- 2 bottles of Champagne
- 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary (not the dried kind from the spice aisle!)
- 1/3 cup of pomegranate arils
- 1 pint blueberries (fresh, not frozen!)
Mix all the juices together in a large pitcher, and chill. Add champagne, and remaining ingredients when you are ready to serve this beverage.

Spiced Red Wine Sangria with Fall Fruit
Sangria is most popularly served during the hot summer months. But, this fall fruit recipe makes this drink a must at your holiday gatherings and makes enough to serve a gathering of 12 people.
Ingredients you will need:
- 2 bottles of dry red wine
- 1-1/2 cups of orange juice
- 2/3 cups of sugar
- 2 cups of ginger ale
- 2 cups of club soda
- 2 cups cranberries
- 1 pear, sliced
- 1 apple, sliced
- 6 figs, sliced
- 1 lemon cut in half
Get a large pitcher and mix together all of the ingredients. Best if served chilled, so you may want to make this the night before or morning of and allow it to chill several hours or more before serving. Prepare a little bit of extra fruit to set aside to use as a garnish, if you desire.
