The holidays are here, which means it is party season once again. Holding that perfect holiday function involves more than just stocking your bar with all the key spirits and ingredients. To take your get-togethers to the next level this holiday season, consider making one of these innovative and delicious Scotch cocktails.

Don’t Sweat The Technique, concocted by San Francisco’s Matt Grippo, adds coconut fat wash to blended Scotch. That is then blended with smoked maple syrup and lemon oil.

Get In The Cah is sure to warm you on even the coldest winter day. Created by Kristi Dukoff in Providence, R.I., it consists of Famous Grouse Scotch, 10-year Madeira, Aperol, and black walnut bitters, with coarse fleur de sel sprinkled on top.

The Hardest Part, created by Nashville bartender James Beck, this cool and refreshing concoction starts with Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch, which is mixed with herbal Becherovka, Licor 43, grenadine, lemon and Angostura bitters. Top it off with soda water to add some fizz.

Love, Sex And Kung Fu is sure to be a conversation starter. Harlem’s Brian Washington originated this horchata-esque libation, which uses Monkey Shoulder Scotch, Tempus Fugit crème de cacao, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, and oat milk, with grated chocolate on top.

The Manchester, a concoction credited to H. Joseph Ehrmann from San Francisco, combines Glenmorangie 10-year single malt with Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, clover honey syrup, lemon juice, rosemary, and egg white.

Plays For Today was the design of Jeff Faile in Washington, D.C., and mixes Pig’s Nose blended Scotch with Black Note Amaro, Contratto Bitter, and Cointreau orange liqueur.

Even though summer is over, it can still feel like an island vacation with The Skeleton Key. Devised by New Yorker Bill Brooks, it is a Mai-Tai inspired beverage that mixes Pig’s Nose 5-year blended with velvet falernum, lemon, orange juice, and pomegranate grenadine. A garnish like a colorful umbrella adds to the tropical feel.

Feeling especially fancy? You could always try to make a Great Scott. Originated at Daniel restaurant in New York City, the recipe includes Great King Street Scotch, lemongrass syrup, smoked Earl Grey tea, and orange oil. That mixture is then smoked with a blowtorch!

For those who want to splurge, consider the Jimmy Mac, created at Jimmy Yeager’s bar in Aspen, Colorado, can be made with either Macallan 12- or 18-year-old single malt. Small amounts of Averna
